- Closed cell below grade.Open cell is for above-grade spaces. Closed cell adds a moisture and vapor barrier.
- Rim joists get sealed too.Closed cell, 2 inches or more, along the rim joist.
- Dry surfaces first.Moisture has to be below 8% before we spray.
- Covered if it's living space.Finished or living space needs the foam covered or coated.

R-value measures how well insulation holds back heat. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power. Ask your seller for the fact sheet on R-values. R-values are for UPC 500 open cell and UPC 2.0 HFO closed cell, from the manufacturer's code compliance reports, at the thickness shown. Closed cell is rigid and also blocks moisture; open cell is softer and dampens sound. We choose the foam for each job. See the data sheets
Before we arrive.
- The space has to be completely empty.Everything comes out before we arrive, unless something truly can't be moved and we've talked it through.
- Room for our trailer.We need driveway access for a trailer about 10 feet tall.
- We bring the lifts and scaffolding.You don't need to rent or supply anything to reach high areas.

Can I leave things in the area?
No, unless something can't be moved and we've talked it through.
Can you spray wet or cold surfaces?
No. Moisture has to be below 8%, and spray foam is temperature sensitive, so we check conditions first.
Can the foam be left exposed?
In an attic or other non-living space, yes. Some jobs call for a coating or paint over exposed foam, and in living space it needs to be covered or coated. We'll tell you which applies when we quote.
