How we do it.
- Pole-frame or metal, the same rules.Open cell on OSB or a liner, never bare metal. Closed cell can go on the metal, with a coating recommended.
- Finished space gets covered foam.If part of your shop is living or finished space, the foam needs to be covered or coated.
- Clear the floor.Tools and stored items come out before we arrive.
- Lifts and scaffolding included.We bring what's needed to reach the roof line.

R-value measures how well insulation holds back heat. Higher is better. Closed cell is rigid and also blocks moisture; open cell is softer and dampens sound. Ranges are from Universal Polymers (UPC) data sheets, tested at 1 inch. We choose the foam for each job. See the data sheets
Questions.
Can the foam be left exposed?
In an attic or other non-living space, yes. Some jobs call for a coating or paint over exposed foam, and in living space it needs to be covered or coated. We'll tell you which applies when we quote.
How long before we can go back inside?
Contractors can go back in after 12 hours. Homeowners after 24 hours.
Can I leave things in the area?
No, unless something can't be moved and we've talked it through.
